Membership

We believe that church membership is about more than just attending church gatherings. Members commit to joining a spiritual family that provides encouragement, accountability, and support. They are called to a biblical standard of responsibility, service, and sacrifice. Our church leadership commits to our biblical covenant, as well as to supporting and assisting our members with care, counsel, prayer, and teaching.

We hope and pray fervently that you will seek wisdom and guidance in your decision to make a covenant and become part of our church family.

Our Starting Point Class is the first step to Membership. We want you to make a wise, and informed decision about joining our church. This class covers what it means to be a member, as well as our beliefs and distinctives.

Baptism is often the first public step of obedience to Christ, after salvation. If you have not been baptized following salvation, we ask you to take this step before becoming a covenant member. For anyone interested in baptism, we do request a baptism interview be set up with one of the pastors to discuss the biblical significance of baptism, frequently asked questions, and to give you an opportunity to share your testimony.

After attending the Starting Point Class and obeying the command of believer’s baptism, the next step toward Membership is Signing the Covenant. During the third and final session of the Starting Point Class, we will explain the covenant to you and answer any questions you might have.

Once you fulfill the requirements of membership and sign the covenant, we will set up a Pastoral Interview for you with one of our Elder’s and their family. During this interview, we will ask for your written testimony, ask you some questions about your testimony, your growth in Christ, your family life, and also answer any other questions you may have. After completing each of these steps, you will be considered a covenant member of CrossBridge Church.
